In the winter months, a snowy mountain landscape welcomes you to the South Tyrolean holiday village of Maranza. The 450-soul parish is situated on a sunny terrace above the Isarco Valley at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Blue, red and black ski slopes await you at the ski resort Gitschberg-Val Giovo. The sunny slopes offer a total length of 44 kilometres, and many rustic mountain inns invite you to take a break. Cross-country fans in Maranza will find two trails with a total length of 16 kilometres and a child-friendly loop trail located near the village of Valles. Toboggan fun for the entire family – During the winter in Maranza you will find many toboggan runs close by. From the high valley of Valles, a three-kilometre toboggan run takes you to the Fane Alp. Every Wednesday, it is illuminated and guarantees plenty of action even after dark. Hikers and snowshoe fans can participate in a guided tour and explore the beauty of the alpine landscape on picturesque itineraries.
