Ski holidays in Maranza – Skiing fun at the ski resort Gitschberg-Val Giovo
In the winter season, the ski area Gitschberg-Val Giovo awaits you with perfect conditions for winter sports. 44 kilometres of slopes are groomed daily, and the wide, sunny downhill tracks are very popular with skiers and snowboarders. At the ski school Gitschberg, beginners can learn the art of skiing, while an easy practice slope for children is located right in the centre of Maranza. The ski kindergarten “Bambino Club” provides hourly care for our youngest guests. Snowboarders and freestylers can romp freely on the groomed slopes, jump elements and rails at the snowboard park. On a designated racetrack, ambitious skiers have the opportunity to set new speed records, while the exciting “Nesselwiese” slope offers a real challenge even for experienced skiers.
Winter fun at the ski resort Bressanone-Plose
In the greater surroundings of Maranza, there are plenty of other ski resorts with varied slopes. While the ski lifts of the ski resort Gitschberg-Val Giovo are located just 200 meters from your accommodation at the farm Samerhof, the ski area Bressanone-Plose can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. The winter sports area extends above the city of Bressanone on Mount Plose and offers the longest downhill slope in South Tyrol. On nine kilometres, the legendary “Trametsch” slope takes you from the highest point of the ski area all the way down into the valley. In addition to groomed slopes and quaint huts, Mount Plose also features the longest toboggan run in South Tyrol: The “RudiRun” is more than ten kilometres long and is divided into two sections.
