In the South Tyrolean mountain village of Maranza – at an altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level – the farm Samerhof awaits you for a holiday close to nature. The newly built farmhouse was completed in 2010 and is located on a sunny hillside in the holiday region Gitschberg-Val Giovo. The mighty peaks of 2,510-meter Mount Gitschberg tower above the village. When furnishing our farm Samerhof, we placed great attention to the preservation of the traditional South Tyrolean architectural style. The wood for the farmhouse came from the farm’s own forests, and we chose a natural placid design. Thus, the farm Samerhof combines South Tyrolean traditions with modern elements.

In the holiday apartments at the farm Samerhof you will spend a carefree vacation surrounded by lush green meadows and deep forests. All apartments at the farm Samerhof offer approx. 90 square metres and 2-3 separate bedrooms. The units can host 2-6 or 2-7 persons and are comfortably furnished. They have a spacious living room with a comfortable sofa and satellite TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. All guests may enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains from their large south-facing balcony. The farm also offers a wood-panelled lounge with a small bar. Within 400-800 meters of distance, you will find several restaurants serving traditional South Tyrolean specialties.

The farm Samerhof is a perfect starting point for exciting hikes and bicycle tours in the holiday region Gitschberg-Val Giovo. During your farm holidays in Maranza you may explore the fabulous hiking area around Mount Gitschberg. On the distinctive peak there is a viewing platform from where you may enjoy fantastic panoramic views embracing the Ötztal and Zillertal Alps. The Altafossa Valley, the Campolago Alp and the Campolago Lakes offer splendid hiking destinations in the area. In the winter, the ski resort Gitschberg-Val Giovo offers 44 km of ski slopes and a snowboard park. If you wish to take it easy, you may participate in a guided snowshoe hike or take advantage of the two excellently groomed cross-country ski trails in Maranza for winter excursions into the snowy mountain landscape.
